The shortest route problem

If we consider the shortest route problem as a minimum cost flow problem, then all of the arc capacities have to be set to (the values of cij are given), while the supply of the origin and the demand of the destination have to be set to either 1 or -1, as it can be seen in Figure 33 (Hillier and Lieberman 2001d).

The content of the book fits to the teaching program of the subject titled ‘Decision making methods’ taught at Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) Faculty of Transportation Engineering and Vehicle Engineering.
