Gastrulation

All the embryonic germ layers originate from the epiblast, which divides into the endoderm, mesoderm, and ectoderm by a process called gastrulation. The embryo will develop from the inner cell mass or embryonic disc. The inner cell mass is growing and subdividing into the embryonic body that contains the three primary embryonic germ layers: ectoderm, mesoderm and endoderm.
