Akadémiai Kiadó is Hungary's oldest publisher, operating since 1828. With its continuously expanding portfolio of international and domestic scientific journals and books, its international scientific conferences, and its innovative online content solutions (MeRSZ.hu, Szotar.net, AKJournals.com), it is a leading company in the scientific market of the Central European region.
The publisher's founder and one of its owners is the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, and its majority owner is the multinational information services company Wolters Kluwer.
