Legal Risk

Legal risk is the risk of non-compliance with the legality of operations (i.e. the law) or non-compliance with regulatory requirements. Legal risk includes the impact of any action that is contrary to law or government regulation (market manipulation, insider trading, failure to comply with the requirements to execute certain transactions). This type of risk is considered to be one of the ‘immeasurable’ financial risks, both in the technical and ‘poetic’ sense of the word.
