A quantitative method of a case
study was applied for realia appearing in AVT. The corpus for the
comparison was provided by two movies, a Hungarian-language and an
English-language one with similar topics and backgrounds. Culture-specific
notions referring to the SC were selected and listed from the two
movies (for the difficulties see the chapter titled Problems
Arising below), and they were analysed in the subtitles
from English to Hungarian (EN2HU) and Hungarian to English (HU2EN),
and in the case of the dubbing EN2HU.
