Innovation and excellence

Management methods for innovation transformation

The idea management process

Ideas can be submitted online, which has several advantages, as employees can formulate their improvement suggestions in the most creative situations and at the most creative times, regardless of working hours. The suggestions do not remain in the virtual mailbox for long. The relevant manager and the Idea Management team are notified of the ideas submitted and ensure that they are evaluated every month with the involvement of the relevant departmental managers. This clearly demonstrates the company's willingness to cooperate and its interest in implementing employee ideas, as innovation is all about speed. Typically, however, the system itself encourages ideas related to savings and process rationalisation, and managers support these. When submitting an idea, it is necessary to calculate how much it is expected to save over a year. Proposals involving costs, construction, procurement or investment are more difficult to implement; they are only launched in exceptional cases and not necessarily within the framework of idea management.
