Management methods for innovation transformation

Bosch Startup Harbour / Berlin

The Startup Harbour initiative is an acceleration programme for early-stage deep tech startups, located in a Berlin harbour. The programme aims to support developments related to the Internet of Things (IoT) ecosystem and the development of startup companies. The programme is open to development teams who want to build a startup company based on business ideas related to predefined focus areas. The programme offers a comprehensive coaching, mentoring and training curriculum to help startups find the right business model and test viable prototypes.
The programme is more than just an internal company training programme, as Bosch Startup Harbour helps connect participants with the right Bosch business units, business partners, potential customers, buyers and investors. In addition, startups participating in the programme have access to Bosch's extensive research network, well-equipped laboratory infrastructure, university partners and, through Steinbeis University (School of Management and Technology), theoretical knowledge and experts. During the programme, members of the startup teams (2–4 people) will receive a scholarship of EUR 1,800.
The programme's focus areas are:
  • solutions based on connected sensors for various activities;
  • localisation solutions within buildings based on connected sensors;
  • intelligent solutions prior to the sale of various products;
  • future industrial and manufacturing solutions;
  • embedded analytics for electro-hydraulic systems;
  • Internet of Things (IoT) solutions;
  • software testing solutions;
  • the workplace of the future;
  • technical solutions for sustainable development.

The programme is aimed at startup companies founded in Berlin or planning to be founded in Berlin. Members of startup teams participating in the programme are required to work full-time on the development of their startup company. At the time of application, the startup team must already have some level of prototype and define the target customers for development.
