A terhesség elején a fogantatások eredményeinek 50%-a hibás, ami a természet szelekciójának következtében a terhesség végére, a szülés idejére 0,5%-ra zsugorodik.

A magzati betegségek diagnosztikája, sőt a kezelési lehetőségek továbbra is fejlődnek, ami nézetünket is sokszor befolyásolni képes. (a szerzők)
