Lecture Notes on Control Theory

Principle

Full state feedback control or pole placement is a method employed in feedback control system theory to place the closed-loop poles of a plant in pre-determined locations in the s-plane. The location of poles corresponds directly to the eigenvalues of the system, which indicate the response characteristics of the system. By changing the location of poles, one can easily modify the characteristics of the system response.
