Smart urban planning

Urban planning is a technical and political process concerned with the control of land use and design of urban environments, which can benefit from trace data analysis and mining. For instance, the visiting frequency, such as the number of pick-ups in a region of vehicles on a road, and of patients waiting outside a hospital, is related to land use. In detail, trace data could help urban planning in many ways:
