Skeletal muscle

Most skeletal muscle is involved in the voluntary propulsion of bones and ligaments. Additionally, some of the viscera may also contain skeletal muscle (e.g. the tongue, diaphragm, and a part of the esophagus). Higher brain centers have primary control of these muscles.
