Management Consultancy in Central and Eastern Europe

Consultancy in a Global Context

New Service Mechanisms

One of the biggest tasks for consulting firms is to bring back the knowledge and expertise of their staff into the company and transfer it into knowledge management (KM) systems. KM is currently embodied in various methodologies, standards, and specialized databases. In the future, the role of knowledge management in the development and operation of IT-supported knowledge bases will continue to grow. In this way, the consultants’ experience is expected to be put directly into the knowledge base where it will be processed, and the information processed will be incorporated into methodologies. Such or similar systems already exist at several, mainly multinational consulting firms. What is new is that these databases will be directly accessible to clients, and there may be fewer white spaces on the map of consulting services.
