Confidentiality

An essential element of a trust relationship is that no information can be provided about the client. This is a generally accepted principle in any relationship that contains trust. It is also part of the confidentiality that the consultants may not use the information that they have learned during the work. Not only must the business and personal secrets of the client be protected passively during the consulting process, but also actively, that is, accessing confidential information by unauthorized persons must be prevented. Compliance with this principle sometimes proves to be difficult for the various cooperating consultants and subcontractors, so the consultants must also be responsible for the confidentiality of their employees.
