Management Consultancy in Central and Eastern Europe

Consultancy in a Global Context

Decreased Economic Results in the Year 2010

In 2010, the impact of recession led to decreased economic results in global terms. Management consulting companies had to cope with unstable and deteriorating market that affected at least one third of them. Their income – in total – was still a bit higher than in 2009 and amounted to €271 million. About 15% of the income was realized outside Slovenia, half of this share within the EU countries. Clients were generally seen as less loyal than before, and long-term relations changed suddenly. Cost reduction schemes in both private and public sector, lack of (liquid) assets, short-term oriented clients, and strong pressure on fees in public sectors were factors with highly negative effects.
