    1. Summer work and sparing all the wages earned.
    2. Cleaning his own room and keeping it clean.
    3. Learning about the advantages of PCs, and continuously attempting to communicate them to the parents.
    4. Taking up judo to earn his mother’s cooperation.
  4. How did summer work help him reach his goal?
    1. The money earned during the summer job covered the lion’s share of the PC’s costs. Furthermore, the experiences helped him what to keep track of when having a PC, what parts are susceptible to malfunctions, and helped him modify the configuration in a way that the performance he wanted reduced in cost. His new contact helped him get the parts of the PC at acquisition cost, which further reduced final costs.
