Positioning is the process of reaching the target market and consciously influencing customer thinking and judgement. When positioning it is advisable to consider branding as an ideal concept to select products/services and communicate their features to potential consumers as part of the marketing mix as well as a tool for performance measurement. The goal of positioning should be to identify factors differentiating an enterprise from its competitors so the product/service can be clearly identifiable.
