A magyarországi többpártrendszer működési feltételeinek megteremtése 1989-ben

In 1942 the American political scientist, Elmer Eric Schattschneider, stated that modern democracy is unthinkable without parties. At the time of the regime change in 1989-1990, the then elite responsible for conducting the transition had to face several tasks. In order to operate a democracy not only legislation and institutions are required, but also the main characters of the democratic competition, that is the parties. Although theoretically the multi-party system was created in 1988, the state-party did not justify its existence, furthermore the legal condititons necessary to operate the parties were missing. Thus the main question of 1989 was whether the state-party would contribute to the operation of the multi-party system and if so, whether they would cooperate to establish its operating conditions. Besides the attitude of the state-party, that of the opposition forces was also crucial, these forces grouped into different organizations at that time. Apart from the historical parties, all the other organizations were reluctant to call themselves parties and to function in reality as parties. In view of the above, the objective of this study is to present how the operating conditions of the Hungarian multi-party system were established in 1989, how each organization of the opposition undertook the task of operating as a party, and the question concerning the fate of the state-party is also essential to clarify.

2019. november 25-26-án a Pannon Egyetem Modern Filológiai és Társadalomtudományi Kara a Magyar Tudományos Akadémia Veszprémi Területi Bizottsága Nyelv- és Irodalomtudományi Szakbizottságával közösen adott otthont a Magyar Tudomány Ünnepe 2019 tiszteletére rendezett „Értékteremtő tudomány” című kétnapos nemzetközi tudományos konferenciának. A rendezvényen a nyelvtudományi, az irodalom- és kultúratudományi, az interkulturális germanisztikai, a társadalom- és neveléstudományi szekciókban elhangzott 30 hazai és külföldi kutató előadása mellett külön szekcióban 12 előadással helyet kaptak a Többnyelvűségi Nyelvtudományi Doktori Iskola doktorandusz hallgatóinak kutatási eredményei is.

Jelen tanulmánykötet egyrészt az elhangzott előadásokra, másrészt pedig a szerteágazó kutatási témák azóta tovább érlelt gondolatainak bemutatására koncentrál. A humán tudományok értéke elsősorban az iránytű szerepe a mindennapi, materiális világban, hogy megértsük az érzelmi-értelmi világot, az életet. Segítségükkel tudjuk rendszerezni a világ jelenségeit a mindenkori új nemzedékek számára. Hozzájárulásuk tisztább gondolkodást, tudatosabb világképet, jobb eligazodást kínál a mind komplexebb emberi létformákban. A konferencia fő célja volt, hogy rávilágítson a megismerés útját kövező humán tudományok szerepére a tudásalapú, s hozzá a humán tudás által is megalapozott társadalom építésében.
