Data Source 6 followed an exploratory and descriptive qualitative design to investigate the parents’ views on their children’s CDA and ICC development. This approach allowed for emergent themes to be captured during data collection (De Costa et al., 2019; McDonough & McDonough, 1997). Semi-structured, in-depth, one-on-one interviews were chosen as the primary data collection method. The study also aimed to complement the findings obtained from the student interviews and partially respond to Research Question 1.5:
