Sustainability is a buzzword, a global guiding principle, and a mission, whether we consider the state of our planet or the current (primarily Euro-Atlantic) lifestyles and consumer attitudes. Although sustainability is primarily an expression (terminus technicus) of environmental science and economics, no legal regulation ornormative and dogmatic legal science to assist and analyse it exists. A solution can probably be found in the middle-level theory of long-term sustainability.1 It is worth considering some of the more interesting geography-specific solutions.2
