3.1.2 Beliefs about translation

As it was not until the summer of 2021 that the final version of the questionnaire on beliefs about translation was established, students starting their studies in 2020 filled in the pilot version of the questionnaire, which included a large number of different items when compared to the final questionnaire. Consequently, their scores come from a different test and cannot be included in this analysis. This explains the low number of respondents in this part of the study.

Mean scores on the beliefs questionnaire are presented in Table 10. Again, no significant differences were found between the human translator and the post-editor group (HT: M = 53.88, SD = 6.56; PE: M = 52.50, SD = 4.72, t(14) = 0.57, p = .58).
