Tudományágak integráló és integrált szerepe

Introduction

When a foreign language is learned after the age of puberty it is usually the case that the learner’s native language interferes with the perception and production of the foreign (or: target) language (e.g Polivanov 1931, Lado 1957, Lenneberg 1967, Flege 1987, 1995). Typically, the sounds of the foreign language are perceived as exemplars of the sound categories of the learner’s native language (e.g. Best 1995, Kuhl & Iverson 1995), and sounds of the learner’s native language are used as substitutes in the foreign language. As a result, the pronunciation of the foreign language is reminiscent of the sounds (and melodies) of the learner’s native language, so that the learner’s native language can be determined from subtle but systematic deviations in the learner’s pronunciation from the norms that apply to the target language. Foreign speakers of English who meet fellow countrymen abroad, immediately hear, just by listening to the other person speaking in English, that they share the same native language (and nationality). It would appear that the underlying mechanism that allows us to do this, is the same that we use to identify a speaker’s regional origin within the larger language community (e.g. Clopper & Pisoni, 2004).

2018. november 12-13-án a Pannon Egyetem Modern Filológiai és Társadalomtudományi Kara adott otthont a Magyar Tudomány Ünnepe 2018 tiszteletére rendezett „Határtalan tudomány” című kétnapos nemzetközi tudományos konferenciának. A rendezvényen a nyelvtudományi, a TOPOS - Space and Humanities, az irodalom- és kultúratudományi, az interkulturális germanisztikai és fordítástudományi, a társadalom- és neveléstudományi szekciókban elhangzott 36 hazai és külföldi kutató előadás mellett külön szekcióban 10 előadással helyet kaptak doktorandusz hallgatóink kutatási eredményei is.

Jelen tanulmánykötet egyrészt az elhangzott előadásokra, másrészt pedig az azóta tovább érlelt kutatási témák bemutatására koncentrál. A tanulmánykötet betekintést enged a Modern Filológiai és Társadalomtudományi Kar Intézeteiben folyó szerteágazó kutatómunkába, amelyet a különböző tudományterületek egymásmellettisége és egymáshoz kapcsolódása jellemez. Az inter- és multidiszciplináris jelleg az egyes kutatási területeken belül is nyomon követhető. Az egyes tudományágak, mint a nyelv-, irodalom- és kultúratudomány, valamint a társadalom- és neveléstudomány egyszersmind integráló és integrált szerepet töltenek be. A kötet tanulmányai a különböző diszciplínák közötti átjárhatóságot és érintkezési pontokat mutatják meg.
