Fluid Flow Systems

Case studies

In the following, two elementary examples illustrate the possibility of modelling thermal systems. To solve the problems, it is necessary to solve not only the caloric mixing and edge equations but also the hydraulic nodal and edge equations, as detailed earlier. In the case of some elements of the TS, e.g., pumps and pipes, their thermal variation is not taken into account (no thermal input or extraction), but they have an effect on the system from a hydraulic point of view (e.g., pressure boosting, pipe friction).
