Anxiety, Coping, and Flow

Empirical studies in interactional perspective

Results

With reference to the introductory discussion that environments are partly similar and partly different for individuals, the appraisal of anxiety-provoking situations for groups of youngsters of different age, sex and culture will be analyzed at two levels. At first, differences among groups for each activating condition, expected consequence and situation-outcome contingency will be tested. Then the differences will be described with discriminant functions assigning individuals to groups on the basis of their unique appraisal of threatening environmental effects.
