Anxiety, Coping, and Flow

Empirical studies in interactional perspective

Introduction

Individuals are involved in a continuous interaction with the environment as it manifests itself in situations (Magnusson, 1981b; Magnusson & Allen, 1983; Magnusson & Endler, 1977; Magnusson & Öhman, 1985). Some situations are perceived as threatening and anxiety-provoking and are dealt with in various ways so as to mitigate unpleasant psychological and psychophysiological reactions.
