Assessment and development opportunities for speech processing in the special education teacher's toolbox

In children with mild intellectual disabilities, learning ability can greatly affect the functioning of speech perception and comprehension. The aim of the study is to point out the experiences of special education teachers (N=70) in relation to speech perception studies and the development of speech processing, based on a questionnaire survey. Due to the results, the development of the field is important for every special education teachers, but the possibility of pre-process examination is used by higher proportion of teachers in lower grade. Special education teachers who teach subjects related to the acquisition of writing and reading were able to name more tasks which are suitable for the development of the field.

A tanulmányok reményeink szerint hasznos olvasmányul szolgálnak mindenkinek a szűkebb és a tágabb szakmából, fonetikával és pszicholingvisztikával foglalkozóknak egyaránt, és mindenkinek, aki érdeklődik a beszéd folyamata iránt.
