Linearization

The basic idea of the linearization method is to transform the equation into a linear equation by taking an “old” value for and writing it in the members responsible for the nonlinearity. The resulting linear equation is solved, and the result is chosen as the “old” value, and the iteration is continued until the difference between the old and the new value is below the threshold value we have specified. A general branch equation looks like this:
