Chapter fourteen examines how randomly selected segments of the TL speech production of the students from different stages of training were evaluated by members of the target audience of first year English Studies BA students and experienced interpreter trainers. Firstly, an overview is provided of evaluating interpreter performance. This is followed by the introduction of the methodology used in the investigations presented. Next, results are detailed, followed by a summary.
